The Angelcare Baby Movement and Sound Monitor detects sound and movement in the nursery. If absolutely no movement is detected by the under-the-mattress Sensor Pad for twenty seconds, an alarm is sounded. The sensitivity can be adjusted to reduce any false positive occurrences, especially as time goes on and your child sleeps better and more soundly. The nursery’s temperature is also visible on the parent unit’s color LCD screen and can alert you when the temperature falls outside a preset safe range.
This baby monitor will doubtless ease your mind, allowing you to react promptly should something untoward ever happen to your baby. No longer do you have to neurotically check on your child!
Let’s take a look at some review snippets from Amazon.com:
“…We have never had the alarm go off.. ever.. but it did one night…our baby was laying in the crib, and really pale. I freaked out, grabbed her arm and called her name and she did not react…We took her to the hospital, and they ran extensive tests…I am so relieved that we had this mattress sensor. If it had not of gone off and alerted us of her not breathing, who knows what would have happened…(continued)”
“…We’ve been using the Angelcare monitor [Angelcare Baby Movement and Sound Monitor] since day one and it has been the single best child-related purchase we’ve made so far. It’s the one thing that has actually relieved a little stress on us as parents. We’re all aware of SIDS and how scary it is to think about. A simple sound monitor won’t help you sleep any easier. A video monitor won’t either. But, when you know that an alarm will sound if your child stops breathing/moving, then you have some peace of mind. ..(continued)”
“…Her machine kept going off approximately 10 times a night. We thought the machine was broken. We checked the sensitivity level and it was all working fine when we checked it out…[had] her checked up at Saint Peters burg children hospital…At the hospital, they found out that my daughter actually stopped breathing approximately 7 to 10 times a night. She had severe acid reflux apnea. Once her doctor got the results back, he said whatever machine you have her on, please keep her on it…(continued)”
